Homemade Oats Biscuits are Crispy, Crunchy, and Healthy as well. Can be prepared at home without Oven & with minimal ingredients available at home.
Oats – 1 cup
Wheat flour – 1/2 cup
Honey – 1/4 cup
Almonds– 10 to 12
Cashewnuts – 10 to 12
Vanilla essence – 1/2 teaspoon
Baking soda – 1/4 teaspoon
Method of Preparation:
Firstly coarsely grind the nuts.
To a mixing bowl add half cup wheat flour.
Add half teaspoon soda and mix.
Add powdered nuts and mix.
Now add oats and mix along with 1 1/2 teaspoon curd, Half teaspoon vanilla essence, and 1/4 cup honey.
Knead it into a dough.
If the dough seems too hard add a little water and knead it into a soft dough.
Place a lid and put it in the fridge for 45 minutes.
This will make the dough become tight and set.
Take a small amount of dough and roll it into a small ball.
Now spread some clarified butter on a plate.
press the prepared dough balls slightly between both hands and place it on the plate.
Don’t make the cookies too thick. Make them thin and small so that they cook easily.
These cookies can be cooked in an oven or in a pressure cooker.
They can even be made in a vessel with a thick base.
Preheat the cooker or the vessel on a medium flame for five minutes.
Now place the plate with uncooked biscuits on a stand in the vessel.
Place the lid and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
Check after 15 to 20 minutes. We can see that the cookies have turned brown.
Immediately remove the cookies from the stand or else they will get burnt.
Let the cookies cool down. As the cookies cool down they will become crunchy.
Tasty and healthy oats and nuts cookies are ready to serve!
